Description
ABSTRACT The accuracy of students' predictions of their final grades in an introductory collegiate course is examined. Accuracy of predictions made at the start of the course and at the time of the final exam are examined and related to selected factors believed to affect students' level of performance. Data were gathered from 376 students enrolled in Principles of Marketing courses. The accuracy of students' grade predictions were observed to improve as the course progressed and to be related to students' class attendance levels, but they were not observed to be related to selfreported time spent studying nor to students' proclivity to self handicap.
